Our love story began with a persistent nudge from a dear friend named Beth. Beth was certain we belonged together, although, at first, Alexis was less than impressed with Joshua's Instagram profile. Eventually, though, she gave in to Beth's insistence, setting the stage for a connection neither of us could have anticipated.

Our initial hours-long phone conversations, initiated by Alexis, revealed more about our hearts than any social media snapshot ever could. Words flowed effortlessly between us, creating a bridge of understanding and connection that laid the groundwork for our first in-person meeting.

On a chilly February evening, the stars aligned for our long-awaited date. Our romantic dinner at Echo and Rig in downtown Sacramento, on February 8, 2023, was more than just a meal; it was a turning point that melted the frost and introduced the warmth of love into our lives.

A mere nine days later, Joshua met Alexis' family. In a heartfelt conversation, he shared his intentions and wish to marry Alexis, planting the seeds of a bright future.

Fast forward to August 18, 2024—a forever treasured day. Joshua's carefully orchestrated proposal enchanted Alexis in the rare book room of Powell's Books, a renowned Oregon bookstore. Amid the silent conversations of countless love stories on the shelves, he asked Alexis to join him in writing their own.

Our story is one of intention and shared dreams. With adventurous spirits guiding us, whether it be the trails of Yosemite, the beaches of Mexico, or the joys of trying new wines and food. In each adventure we've found a kindred spirit in one another, eager to share life's vibrant journey.
